What if I told you that by pursuing your dreams you could help disadvantaged and vulnerable women
Love Thread Project is a multi-faceted collaborative platform for the ultimate purpose to provide education, restoration and empowerment for women at risk. Our mission is to use fashionable and creative ventures to combat social injustice against women.
Love Thread Project: Dreamers Collective
We encourage and educate aspiring creatives to discover their passion, realise their potential and give them the tools to make their dreams a reality. This year we launched The Dreamers Collective campaign, running monthly fashion and creative workshops where established professionals share their experience and insight with attendees in an intimate setting. The Dreamers Collective is a platform for creatives, influencers and businesses to collaborate and connect with likeminded people in the industry. 100% profits from Love Thread Project’s Perth workshops go towards funding a fashion restoration program for young women at risk in Bali. We partner and work very closely with a a Balinese based non-profit organisation, Flux Lifeground, that provides support for young survivors of human trafficking. Through our fashion and beauty workshops, the girls learn self confidence, self worth and fashion skills they can later use to get employment in the fashion/garment industry.
Love Thread & Co.
Love Thread & Co. is a fashion label with a social footprint. We collaborate with existing fashion enterprises to combat the tyranny of modern slavery. All of our collaborative designs are limited-edition capsule collection, we use sustainable materials and methods to deliver beautiful styles and high quality garments straight from the heart of Bali to your closet. We aim to provide a transparent process throughout our production and supply chain. Our manufacturing takes place in Bali where we work directly with our artisans to ensure there’s no unfair or unsafe labor that goes into making our clothes. We have invested time and resources in being as people and planet friendly as possible. Our initiative takes a holistic approach to highlighting our social responsibility to ensure our fashion consumption does not come at the cost of the exploitation of others. We are dedicated to creating and nurturing a new generation of conscious consumers and artisans in the fashion industry. Our business model is by ‘people for people’ with 50% of the profits from our online label going towards our fashion program and support for our artisans. We are dedicated to providing employment for Balinese communities, future career opportunities for our program graduates, fair wage, health benefits and a micro-enterprise program for our artisans. We believe that by doing this, we are not only impacting them but also the wider community so they can go forward as agents of change.
